Report: Real Madrid to swoop for Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech

Real Madrid are monitoring developments at Chelsea regarding the availability of goalkeeper Petr Cech, reports claim.

Real Madrid have expressed an interest in Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech, it has been reported.

Jose Mourinho has recalled Thibaut Courtois to Stamford Bridge after three successful seasons with Atletico Madrid, and is said to be considering naming the 22-year-old as first-choice goalkeeper.

According to the Daily Telegraph, this year's Champions League winners are monitoring developments and could make their move towards the end of August if Cech is removed as number one.

The 32-year-old, who made 45 appearances for Chelsea in all competitions last season, has been a mainstay at the club since joining from French club Rennes 10 years ago.
