Report: Chelsea ace Filipe Luis 'desperate' to quit this summer

Chelsea defender Filipe Luis plans on leaving the Premier League champions during the off-season, according to reports.

Chelsea defender Filipe Luis is determined to leave the club this summer, according to reports in Spain.

The Brazilian left-back has struggled for first-team opportunities following a £16m switch from Atletico Madrid in July after failing to displace Cesar Azpilicueta.

Consequently, Luis, who has started eight Premier League games this season, is 'desperate' to quit the newly-crowned champions, according to El Confidencial.

The 29-year-old has previously been linked with a return to Atletico, with speculation mounting that the Blues may use him as a makeweight in a deal for Antoine Griezmann.

His contract at Stamford Bridge expires in 2017.
