Liverpool have reportedly been handed a boost in the race to sign RB Leipzig forward Timo Werner.
Having already contributed 25 goals in all competitions this season, Werner is being linked with a move to the Premier League.
While Leipzig would prefer to keep the Germany international until the summer, Chelsea are allegedly keen to sign the 23-year-old before the end of the month.
However, according to Bild, Werner favours a switch to Liverpool later in 2020, providing that the Merseyside giants express an interest in his services.
Jurgen Klopp already has an array of attacking options at his disposal, while Takumi Minamino has only recently signed from Red Bull Salzburg.
Any admirers of Werner are able to activate a release clause in his contract during this window and the one which will follow in the summer.
