Colchester United and Rotherham United have played out a goalless draw at the Weston Homes Community Stadium in League One.
The visitors had the early chances with Kieran Agard and James Tavernier going close, before Miles Addison tried his luck just past the half-hour mark.
Sanchez Watt thought that he had put the U's in front in the 33rd when he found the target, but his effort was ruled out because of a foul committed by Clinton Morrison on Millers goalkeeper Adam Collin in the build-up.
Agard had a long-range attempt turned away by Colchester goalkeeper Sam Walker on the stroke of half time, and the 24-year-old forward had another opportunity immediately after the restart.
Rotherham continued to dominate proceedings as the second half progressed, with Haris Vuckic, Agard, Alex Revell and Lee Frecklington all testing Walker, who stood his ground.
Watt could have earned his side all three points midway through the half when his shot on target beat Rotherham goalkeeper Collin, but it came back off the crossbar.
The result means that Colchester are now winless in six matches, while Steve Evans's side remain fifth in the league table.
