New Huddersfield Town manager Mark Robins insists that leaving Coventry City to move to the Championship club was a "considered decision".

Huddersfield Town manager Mark Robins believes that his management style will suit the credentials that the Championship club were seeking in a new boss.

Robins has left Coventry City to manage the Terriers after just five months in charge at the Ricoh Arena but the 43-year-old has insisted that moving to the Yorkshire club was the right move for him.

Robins told reporters: "I got a call to say that Huddersfield were interested, and I expressed an interest to speak with them.

"Things unfolded from there and I got permission to speak with them on Tuesday night and the move was concluded yesterday.

"Nigel Clibbens has already alluded to the fact that there was a synergy between what the club want and the way that I work and once that became clear, it became a good, considered decision."

Robins arrives at Huddersfield with the club in 18th place in the league table.
