Crystal Palace captain Mile Jedinak hopeful of weekend return

Crystal Palace captain Mile Jedinak suggests that he could be back against Arsenal following an ankle injury.

Crystal Palace captain Mile Jedinak has revealed that he could be back from injury against Arsenal this weekend.

The Australian is yet to play under new manager Alan Pardew after suffering an ankle problem at the Asian Cup.

However, the midfielder is hopeful that he will be back in action when Palace host Arsenal at Selhurst Park on Saturday in the Premier League.

"We'll just have to wait and see if I play against Arsenal, but at this stage it is going really well," he told Sky Sports News.

"I'm not the best of watchers. When you have to go to a game and watch your team, I'm not the best at that, but it is what it is. I'm itching to get back out there and be involved in that first hand."

Jedinak has scored five goals in 18 games for Palace so far this season.
