Crystal Palace in takeover talks with a Dubai-based consortium?

Crystal Palace are reportedly in talks with a Dubai-based consortium, who are looking to buy the club.

Crystal Palace are reportedly in takeover talks with a Dubai-based consortium.

Palace were beaten 2-0 by Southampton on Saturday and have begun their Premier League campaign with five defeats from six matches.

However, according to The Mirror, their fortunes could be about the change. A consortium from the Middle East is keen to buy a Premier League club. They have already had an approach for Arsenal rebuffed and Palace are one of a number of clubs on their radar.

Senior Palace officials are set to have met members of the consortium, although chairman Steve Parish did not attend as he is on holiday.

Parish led his own consortium to buy the club from Simon Jordan when they went into administration and he is believed to be happy at the club.

The potential new owners will have to prove they have the finance and motivation to take Palace to the next level and secure the club's long-term future.
