Tony Pulis: 'Rumours I'm unhappy at Crystal Palace are nonsense'

Crystal Palace manager Tony Pulis describes rumours that he is unhappy at the club as "nonsense".

Crystal Palace manager Tony Pulis has rubbished rumours that he is unhappy at Selhurst Park.

The 56-year-old has been tipped by a number of fellow coaches to be named the Manager of the Year after guiding the Eagles out of the relegation zone.

While Pulis has admitted that he and chairman Steve Parish had some differences when he first took charge of the team in November, the ex-Stoke City boss has insisted that their relationship is now "solid".

"[The rumours are] nonsense," Pulis told Sky Sports News. "I've got to be honest, the first couple of weeks, me and Steve had our moments but as the season's gone on our relationship has just got more solid.

"It's something that you have to nurture - obviously bend at times to get that sort of relationship. That's what Steve and myself have done.

"I just want to get the season out of the way [before holding talks]. You can never guarantee that I'll be manager next season - take every day as it comes. I'm very proud to be standing here as manager of Crystal Palace."

Pulis has been named the Premier League Manager of the Month for April.
