Preview: Crystal Palace vs. Southampton

Sports Mole previews the Premier League clash between Crystal Palace and Southampton, who have beaten the Eagles 2-0 in each of their last three meetings.

Southampton's England contingent will be hoping to lead them to a fourth straight win over Crystal Palace when the two sides clash in the Premier League on Saturday.

The Saints, who have beaten the Eagles 2-0 in their last three meetings, had Luke Shaw make his Three Lions debut in the victory over Denmark in midweek, while Adam Lallana again impressed on the international stage.

Rickie Lambert and Jay Rodriguez did not get the chance to press their World Cup claims on Wednesday and so they will be looking to catch Roy Hodgson's eye with their club displays between now and May.

All four are probable starters for Southampton at Selhurst Park, where Palace have won three of their last four matches to stay clear of the relegation zone, which currently looms three points below them.

Home form will continue to be key to Tony Pulis's side's chances of maintaining their top-flight status, while having last season's top goalscoring Glenn Murray fit again is another timely boost to their cause.

The 30-year-old striker, who missed nine months with knee ligament damage, scored his first Premier League goal in the 1-1 draw at Swansea City last weekend, netting from the penalty spot late on.

He is likely to be partnered in attack by Cameron Jerome, with Marouane Chamakh, who, along with Jerome Thomas, was fined by Pulis for acts of simulation in Wales, suffering from a hamstring strain.

Joe Ledley, Kagisho Dikgacoi and Damien Delaney are also injury doubts for the hosts and therefore Barry Bannan, Danny Gabbidon and Adlene Guedioura are on standby to be called upon if required.

Kelvin Davis and Jos Hooiveld are Southampton's only fitness concerns ahead of their trip to London, where Mauricio Pochettino will be demanding a response to the 3-0 home loss to Liverpool.
