Tony Pulis eager for 40 points

Crystal Palace boss Tony Pulis believes that getting to 40 points will keep his side in the Premier League.

Crystal Palace boss Tony Pulis has claimed that his side will definitely avoid relegation from the Premier League this season if they can get to 40 points.

The 16th-placed Eagles are currently on 26 points with 12 games left to play following Saturday's 2-0 defeat to Manchester United.

"If we can get to 40, I will be doing somersaults - 40 points always keeps you up, or it has done for a long time, and if you give me 40 now I will pack my bags and go on holiday," Pulis is quoted as saying by Sky Sports News.

"I think it is just a case of trying to get as many points as you possibly can from every game and see if that takes you there."

Palace continue their battle for survival this Saturday when they make the trip to Swansea City.
