David Moyes: Manchester United "deserved" win

David Moyes believes that Manchester United were good for their 2-0 win against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park in the Premier League.

Manchester United manager David Moyes has insisted that his side deserved to beat Crystal Palace in their 2-0 win at Selhurst Park on Saturday evening.

Moyes admits that Tony Pulis's side did not make it easy for United, but insists that on the balance of play the points went to the right team.

"Palace have been very strong," he told BBC Sport. "It was not easy for us but we thoroughly deserved the victory.

"Our play was really good throughout. We just need to keep at it and make more chances to score. Marouane Fellaini had a good chance, he played well.

"I never had any fears that Robin [van Persie] would not score his penalty. That is why they are the top players, they can hold their nerve."

United moved above Everton to sixth in the Premier League table with the win.
