Emmanuel Adebayor, Marouane Chamakh released by Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace confirm that six players will leave the club on free transfers at the end of the month, including Emmanuel Adebayor, Marouane Chamakh and Brede Hangeland.

Crystal Palace have announced that strikers Emmanuel Adebayor and Marouane Chamakh will leave the club when their contracts expire at the end of this month.

Adebayor only signed a short-term deal at Selhurst Park in January, and the Eagles have opted not to offer the former Arsenal, Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur striker a renewal after he scored just one goal in 15 appearances.

Chamakh, meanwhile, suffered an injury-plagued 2015-16 campaign and leaves the club having scored 10 goals in 66 appearances since joining from Arsenal three years ago.

Brede Hangeland will also leave on a free transfer this summer following a two-year spell that saw him play 26 times, while fellow defender Adrian Mariappa is on his way out too despite featuring in the FA Cup final against Manchester United last season.

Paddy McCarthy and Chris Kettings have not been offered new deals either, with the former having made 151 appearances for the club since 2008.

Palace did confirm that development players Keshi Anderson, Randell Williams, Andre Coker and Luke Croll have all signed new deals, though, while veteran duo Julian Speroni and Damien Delaney have also signed one-year contract extensions.
