Steve Parish says that Crystal Palace are keeping an eye on Marouane Chamakh's situation at Arsenal.

Crystal Palace co-chairman Steve Parish has admitted that the club are interested in signing Arsenal striker Marouane Chamakh.

The Moroccan has been out of favour at the Emirates Stadium for the past few seasons, and manager Arsene Wenger stated on Sunday that the forward is on his way to Selhurst Park.

However, while Palace refused to confirm or deny a move for Chamakh, they did concede their admiration of the 29-year-old.

"Marouane is obviously a fantastic player," Parish told Sky Sports News.

"I think things haven't worked out maybe as well as they could have done in the latter part of his Arsenal career so that's one we are keeping an eye on along with a number of others."

Chamakh joined Arsenal from Bordeaux in 2010.
