Hartlepool United sign Crystal Palace youngster Jake Gray on short-term loan

Jake Gray swaps Crystal Palace for Hartlepool United on a one-month loan deal to gain further experience at senior level.

Crystal Palace starlet Jake Gray has joined Hartlepool United on a one-month youth loan contract.

The 19-year-old has yet to feature for the Eagles, but was handed a new deal during the summer to keep him in place at Selhurst Park for the long term.

Gray has previously spent time in the fourth tier with Cheltenham Town, making three appearances for the club last season before returning to the fringes of Palace's Premier League squad.

Hartlepool will now take the box-to-box midfielder for the next four weeks, with the youngster eligible for Saturday afternoon's meeting against former side Cheltenham.
