Crystal Palace have reportedly agreed a deal with Wigan Athletic for midfielder James McArthur.
Leicester City had agreed a fee for the 26-year-old last week but pulled out of the deal after completing the signing of Esteban Cambiasso.
Palace manager Neil Warnock has admitted that he would like to bring in several new faces before the transfer window closes.
According to BT Sport, the Eagles will sign Scotland international McArthur for a club-record fee of £7m.
Palace are also said to be closing in on the signing of Zeki Fryers from Tottenham Hotspur.
