Crystal Palace manager Alan Pardew has described his side's defeat to struggling Aston Villa as one of their "poorest displays" of the season.
The Eagles were undone by a mistake from their own goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey, who allowed Joleon Lescott's header to trickle into the back of the net.
"A lot of things went wrong - we lacked energy, we lacked quality, one of our poorest displays of the season," BBC Sport quotes Pardew as saying. "Villa really deserved their victory - they worked so, so hard.
"We couldn't find an offensive link-up. Wayne Hennessey will obviously be disappointed with the goal - he got himself in a mess, but he's been terrific for us and that's the nature of goalies."
The result was Villa's first victory in 19 games.
