Dordrecht ended their 17-game winless run in the Eredivisie by beating SBV Excelsior 1-0 this evening.
Mart Lieder scored the only goal of the game as the division's bottom club won for the first time since the opening day of the season.
With Excelsior 13th in the table and also struggling, it was a game of few chances and each side had only one shot on target in the first half.
It was an equally tight affair in the second half, but Lieder's strike from Josimar Lima's cross on 64 minutes separated the sides.
The result will come as a huge relief to Ernie Brandts' side, although they remain six points adrift of safety at the bottom of the table.
