Dynamo Kiev and Dinamo Zagreb draw in horrendous conditions

Andriy Yarmolenko has a volley cancelled out by a stoppage-time penalty from Ivan Krstanovic to earn Dinamo Zagreb's first Champions League point against Dynamo Kiev.

Dynamo Kiev conceded a last-minute penalty to draw with Dinamo Zagreb on a treacherous night in Croatia.

The match was under threat when the referee decided to take the players off after 10 minutes as the snow showed no signs of letting up.

After a 20-minute delay the match resumed under difficult conditions as heavy snow gave way to sleet and showers.

Kiev edged ahead just before the break thanks to a moment of individual quality from Andriy Yarmolenko, who volleyed home off the crossbar to break the deadlock.

Dinamo tried to force their way back into the match after the interval, with Fatos Beqiraj looking the most likely in attack.

The visitors defended doggedly in the closing stages but conceded a penalty in stoppage time, which Ian Krstanovic duly dispatched for Dinamo's first Champions League goal.

Dinamo held out for their first ever point in the competition, ending a run of 11 consecutive European defeats.
