Scott Parker insists that England will be going into Friday's match with Montenegro aiming for maximum points.

Scott Parker has insisted that England will be travelling to Montenegro with the aim of taking maximum points from their encounter in Podgorica.

A draw will be enough for Fabio Capello's side to secure qualification into next summer's European Championships, but the Tottenham Hotspur midfielder has claimed that the England squad treat every match as a "must-win" fixture.

"Every time we play it's a must-win game no matter who we play," Parker told talkSPORT. "As a nation, we look at it and think we have to win the game and Friday night will be no different.

"It will be a difficult game under very hostile circumstances, but we will be fully prepared and look to win it."

Parker, 30, has been awarded eight caps for England.
