England, Wales, Northern Ireland climb up FIFA rankings

England climb two places in the FIFA world rankings to 18th, while Wales and Northern Ireland also move up the list.

England have moved up two places to 18th in the latest FIFA world rankings, while Wales and Northern Ireland have also climbed up the list.

The Three Lions, who secured a 2-0 victory over Switzerland in a Euro 2016 qualifier earlier this month, have climbed up the FIFA list after initially dropping following their disastrous World Cup campaign in Brazil.

Wales have jumped up 12 places to join Scotland in 29th place, while Northern Ireland have risen 24 spots to sit 71st in the rankings.

World champions Germany continue to lead the list, with Argentina in second, while Colombia have moved above the Netherlands to take third spot.
