West Bromwich Albion boss Alan Irvine backs Saido Berahino for England call-up

West Bromwich Albion coach Alan Irvine believes that Saido Berahino will receive an England call-up if he continues his current goalscoring form.

West Bromwich Albion head coach Alan Irvine has expressed his belief that Saido Berahino will eventually be 'rewarded' for his form by receiving an England call-up from manager Roy Hodgson.

The 21-year-old scored his fifth goal of the season by netting twice in Sunday's 4-0 victory over Burnley at The Hawthorns.

"If he keeps on playing like that and scoring goals he'll get all those rewards," The Mirror quotes Irvine as saying. "I don't think Roy will be thinking he's too young, he'll put him in if he thinks he's the best player in the position."

England coaches Gary Neville and Ray Lewington were in attendance during the match.
