England assistant coach Ray Lewington has revealed that Roy Hodgson sees Blackpool winger Thomas Ince as a key player in England's future.
Ince, who is currently on loan at Crystal Palace until the end of the season, has yet to make his international debut, and while Lewington admits to being impressed by the 22-year-old, he doesn't envisage him featuring in Brazil in the summer.
The 57-year-old is quoted by ITV Sport as saying: "Tom Ince is quality. Roy and I have seen him. He is one that we have been looking to pencil in a couple of times.
"I think that it's a little bit too late for the World Cup but he is certainly England's future. He is a really good top-quality player."
The former Liverpool trainee, who has scored eight times in 26 matches this season, has been a regular fixture in the England Under-21 squad since making his debut in 2012.
