Frank Lampard has called for some realism following England's 1-0 victory over world and European champions Spain this evening.
The Chelsea midfielder, who skippered and scored for the Three Lions at Wembley, believes that Fabio Capello's side have some way to go before they can compete with Spain on a regular basis.
"We're very pleased," Lampard told ITV Sport. "They are without doubt the best team in the world.
"We've got to be realistic because they dominated a lot of the game.
"We're not quite where we want to be but we've beaten a great team."
England face Sweden in another home friendly match on Wednesday evening.
