Peter Shilton concerned about England defence

Former England goalkeeper Peter Shilton believes that the Three Lions need more options in defence.

Former England goalkeeper Peter Shilton has admitted that he is concerned about the Three Lions' defence.

Roy Hodgson's men conceded their first goal of Euro 2016 qualifying in the 3-1 win against Slovenia at Wembley on Saturday.

However Shilton, who won 125 international caps, believes that England need more quality options at the back.

"I'm a bit disturbed with us at the back," he told the Derby Telegraph.

"We need another two or three solid defenders but, overall, I think we are on the right lines."

England face rivals Scotland in a friendly at Celtic Park on Tuesday evening.
