England manager Roy Hodgson has revealed that he is satisfied with the condition of the pitch inside Warsaw's National Stadium.
The Three Lions were due to take on their Polish counterparts in a World Cup qualifier yesterday evening. However, the roof on the stadium was not closed and heavy rain showers made the surface unplayable.
The two teams have returned to the ground this afternoon and having inspected the pitch, Hodgson is happy for the match to go ahead.
"There is still a little bit of water if you dig your foot down," he told ITV Sport. "There was so much rain last night and you don't get rid of that in such a short space of time.
"They've done a good job and the pitch is perfectably playable."
