Everton are reportedly ready to offer Nuno Espirito Santo a three-year deal to become their next manager, after Carlo Ancelotti's departure for Real Madrid.

Everton have reportedly prepared a three-year contract to offer former Wolverhampton Wanderers manager Nuno Espirito Santo.

The 47-year-old stepped down from his role at Molineux less than two weeks ago but, once Carlo Ancelotti left Merseyside for a return to Real Madrid, Nuno was immediately targeted by the Toffees.

Nuno's services have also been chased by Crystal Palace after Roy Hodgson departed Selhurst Park at the end of the season, however Everton have emerged as the favourites to land the Portuguese boss.

The Daily Star reports that after a few days of talks between the club and Nuno, Everton are now ready to offer the former Wolves manager a three-year contract at Goodison Park.

Paulo Fonseca and Belgium boss Roberto Martinez were also on Everton's candidate list to be Ancelotti's replacement, but Everton's majority shareholder Farhad Moshiri has been impressed by Nuno's work with Wolves.

After four years at Molineux, Nuno managed 199 matches and in that time achieved promotion to the Premier League, and two seventh-placed finishes in the top flight.
