Everton striker Apostolos Vellios targets a successful season with the club next term.

Everton striker Apostolos Vellios has thanked the club's fans for voting him their Young Player of the Year.

The 20-year-old has also insisted that there is more to come following his flirtation with the Everton first-team last season.

"I am really happy [with the award]. I want to say a big thanks to all the Blues who voted for me. I'm so proud. It has given me more confidence for the future to be better," he told the Liverpool Echo.

"I looked at the names of the previous winners and it's a big honour that my name will be there with them. It was a good season for me, but I think I have many surprises for next season."

Everton finished the Premier League season in seventh position.
