Everton are reportedly considering a surprise swoop for former Arsenal and Manchester City midfielder Samir Nasri.
Nasri is currently serving an 18-month drugs ban after receiving an intravenous treatment at an LA clinic in December 2016, during which time he was on loan at Sevilla from Man City.
The 31-year-old has since featured for Turkish club Antalyaspor, but left in January and will be available on a free transfer once his suspension expires.
Nasri is able to train with clubs again from next month, and the Daily Mail reports that Everton are weighing up the possibility of offering him a route back into football at Goodison Park.
Manager Marco Silva is thought to consider Nasri as an alternative to the likes of Gylfi Sigurdsson and Richarlison, with the Frenchman available to join a new club outside the transfer window.
Nasri has eight seasons of Premier League experience under his belt from his time at Arsenal and Man City, the latter of whom he helped to two league titles.
