Preston North End are currently holding Championship Ipswich at half time thanks to a Kevin Davies goal.

David McGoldrick had given the home side the lead after 38 minutes; having initially missed from the penalty spot, the Ipswich midfielder converted the rebound to fire Mick McCarthy's side ahead.

Just minutes later, Davies's right-footed shot brought the teams level in an even contest.

Ipswich striker Sylvan Ebanks-Blake made his debut for Ipswich, though was taken off with an injury with less than half-an-hour played.
