Vincenzo Montella wary of Roma threat

Fiorentina manager Vincenzo Montella says that there is not a huge difference between his side and tonight's opponents Roma.

Fiorentina manager Vincenzo Montella has said that there is not a huge difference between his side and tonight's opponents Roma.

The Viola have enjoyed a successful season in Serie A and are currently fourth in the table, but face a Roma side who are still harbouring hopes of winning the title.

While Montella has admitted that the Giallorossi are a quality side, he is confident that his players can more than match them on the pitch when they meet in Florence.

"They certainly have a top-quality squad with some excellent options on the bench," he told reporters. "I don't see a huge difference between us and them.

"We've lost whenever we've met them recently but always played very well. We're in for a great game. We'll need to be especially careful in dealing with the specific threats they pose."

Montella is in his second season in charge of Fiorentina, having being appointed manager in June 2012.
