Southampton manager Nigel Adkins has admitted that every point gained in the Premier League is "important" following Southampton's 1-1 draw at Fulham.
Rickie Lambert converted a late penalty, which cancelled out Dimitar Berbatov's early opener for the Whites.
"Any point picked up in the Premier League is an important one especially after going behind and we put the ball in good areas," BBC Sport quotes Adkins as saying.
"We have a lot of players who have not played at this level before and we had to learn quickly, and we have done that. We are not getting punished as much as we were doing early on in the season."
The result keeps Southampton just outside the relegation zone in 17th.
