Dimitar Berbatov's early goal has put Fulham 1-0 up against Southampton at Craven Cottage at the break.
The Bulgarian striker found the target in the eighth minute when he slotted home from close range after Kelvin Davis failed to properly claim Ashkan Dejagah's cross from the right.
Berbatov almost made it 2-0 in the 16th minute with a header from Alexander Kacaniklic's cross, but his attempt from close range went wide.
Fulham continued to dominate proceedings at home, with Southampton's first real chance coming only in the 20th minute when Jack Cork tried his luck from outside the box; however, Mark Schwarzer made a good save.
Southampton goalkeeper Davis was called into action in the 34th minute as he narrowly kept out a cross from John Arne Riise from going over the line.
