Felix Magath: "I don't care" about Fulham's season so far

Felix Magath insists that he cannot change what has happened to Fulham this season, but will influence the club's future.

New Fulham manager Felix Magath has admitted that he does not care about what has happened in the previous 26 Premier League games before he took over at the club.

Magath said that all that matters is that he can put across his own style of play to the team in order for there to be an improvement in results.

"I don't know [why Fulham are struggling]," he told reporters in his first press conference. "I don't care about the past. I have not had an influence in the past. I am here since last Friday and I look forward. I will only look at where we are at the moment and then look at how we can improve and develop.

"Every coach, every manager has his own view of the game. I don't care about other managers - I have my opinion and my own way of playing football.

"You have seen what I have done at Wolfsburg, how we played at Wolfsburg, that is what I want to see from my team, my club. It is not time to have a dream: we have to work, we have to stay together and fight against relegation."

Magath took over at Fulham last Friday, with previous head coach Rene Meulensteen and his support staff leaving the club.
