Fulham defender Philippe Senderos believes that the Cottagers are coping well following the departures of a number of their stars.

Fulham defender Philippe Senderos believes that the Cottagers can go from strength to strength this season following their positive start to the campaign.

The London outfit witnessed the departures of Clint Dempsey, Moussa Dembele, Danny Murphy and Pavel Pogrebnyak in the summer but the former Arsenal defender believes that the club are not missing them.

"It has been a pretty good start and we're really happy with it," Sky Sports News quotes Senderos as saying. "Hopefully we can build on the good start and continue like this.

"We've lost a few players and replaced them really with players that are hungry and they want to do well. The team has responded really well in the first game and hopefully, for me personally, I can get my chance and grab it and be in the team."

Martin Jol's side are currently ninth in the league table.
