Preview: Fulham vs. Blackburn Rovers

Sports Mole previews the Championship match between Blackburn Rovers and bottom club Fulham at Craven Cottage.

Championship strugglers Fulham's pursuit of their first league win of the season will continue when they host Blackburn Rovers at the weekend.

The Cottagers, who suffered a 5-3 defeat to Nottingham Forest in midweek, have picked up just one point from their opening seven matches of the season, leaving them at the foot of the table.

As a result of Fulham's poor start to the season, manager Felix Magath's future at the club had come under increased scrutiny in recent weeks, resulting in him being dismissed from his post ahead of this fixture.

The hosts could be boosted by the return of Bryan Ruiz from international duty after he sat out the midweek match, although the Costa Rica international is yet to feature for the club this season.

Meanwhile, Blackburn continue to blow hot and cold, slipping to their third defeat in their last six outings to leave them 13th in the table.

Ryan Tunnicliffe could be in line for a start at Craven Cottage after earning the praise of manager Gary Bowyer following the defeat to Derby, which saw the midfielder come off the bench for the final 25 minutes.

There are no fresh injury concerns for Blackburn, who will have a week off following this match as they will not be involved in the League Cup next week.

The teams have not played for almost three years, with Blackburn securing a 3-1 win last time they met.
