Fulham 'eye Gayle, Mitrovic swoop'
Fulham want to sign Newcastle United pair Dwight Gayle and Aleksandar Mitrovic at the end of the season, according to a report.

Fulham boss Slavisa Jovanovic reportedly wants to sign Newcastle United pair Dwight Gayle and Aleksandar Mitrovic at the end of the season.

Mitrovic joined Fulham on loan during the January transfer window, and the Serbia international has scored 12 times in 16 Championship appearances for the Cottagers.

Gayle, meanwhile, has managed five goals in 32 Premier League appearances for Newcastle this term.

According to The Sun, Jovanovic will look to sign Mitrovic on a permanent deal before switching his attention to Magpies teammate Gayle in this summer's transfer window.

Fulham are currently third in the Championship table - one point behind second-placed Cardiff City ahead of the final round of matches in the second tier this weekend.
