Team News: Galatasaray name strong side for Astana clash

Galatasaray head coach Mustafa Denizli selects a strong side for the club's Champions League encounter with Astana.

Galatasaray head coach Mustafa Denizli has named a strong side for the club's Champions League encounter with Astana.

Both clubs have already been eliminated from the competition, but with a place in the Europa League at stake, Denizli has resisted the temptation to rest his star names.

Lukas Podolski, who has scored two goals in Europe this season, keeps his place, as does former Inter Milan midfielder Wesley Sneijder.

As for Astana, they have made two changes to their team, with Marin Anicic and Dmitriy Shomko both coming into the side.

Galatasaray: Muslera, Sabri, Semih, Chedjou, Hakan, Olcan, Selçuk, Podolski, Sneijder, Yasin, Burak
Subs: Cenk, Bilal, Umut, Jose, Sinan, Koray, Tarık

Astana: Eric; Anicic, Ilic, Postnikov, Shomko, Maksimovic, Kethevoama, Muzhikov, Canas, Twumasi, Kabananga
Subs: Akhmetov, Zhukov, Beysebekov, Nuserbayev, Dzholchiev, Dedechko, Loginovskiy
