Good evening and thank you for joining Sports Mole for live text commentary of the International friendly between Germany and Cameroon at Borussia-Park.

We are just 11 days away from the start of what should be an exciting month of football, as the World Cup returns to Brazil. Germany and Cameroon are among the 32 teams to have booked their place at the tournament and will be hoping that they can find their form and fitness in Monchengladbach today.

GERMANY XI: Weidenfeller, Boateng, Mertesacker, Hummels, Durm, Khedira, Kroos, Muller, Ozil, Reus, Gotze

CAMEROON XI: Itandje, Djeugoue, Matip, Nkoulou, Bedimo, Enoh, Song, M'Bia, Moukandjo, Choupo-Moting, Eto'o

TEAM NEWS: Mario Gotze starts for Germany as the lone striker, with support coming in the shape of Mesut Ozil, Marco Reus and Thomas Muller. Per Mertesacker partners Mats Hummels in the centre of defence and left-back Erik Durm makes his debut. Roman Weidenfeller starts in goal, as Manuel Neuer continues to recover from a shoulder injury.

As for Cameroon, the German-born striker Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting starts alongside captain Samuel Eto'o and Benjamin Moukandjo in a three-pronged attack. There is plenty of experience in the midfield with Stephane Mbia and Alex Song, while Nicolas N'Koulou and Schalke's Joel Matip are the chosen centre-back pairing

Germany are considered by many to be among the favourites to lift the World Cup this summer and they booked their place at the tournament in style with nine wins from their 10 games in qualifying. They will be playing in Group D in Brazil, where they kick off their tournament on June 16 in a mouth-watering clash with Portugal. Ghana and the USA are the other teams they will face, as they bid to win a fourth World Cup and their first since 1990.

Meanwhile, Cameroon will find it tough if they are to make the knockout stages at the World Cup. The Indomitable Lions have been drawn in group A alongside tournament hosts Brazil, Mexico and Croatia, with their opening match against the Mexicans on June 13.

The Germans began their perpetrations for this summer's tournament by sharing a goalless draw with Poland in Hamburg two weeks ago. In a young team with relatively little international experience, twelve players made their debuts, including Kevin Volland, Shkodran Mustafi and Leon Goretzka, but they welcome back many of their star players tonight.

Cameroon have had a mixed set of results in their most recent friendlies. On Monday they recorded a 2-0 victory over Macedonia, but striker Pierre Webo went off injured after scoring an overhead kick, before landing awkwardly on his elbow. They were in action again on Thursday, where they fell to a 2-1 defeat to Paraguay. Goals from Oscar Romero and Roque Santa Cruz gave the South Americans a commanding lead, before Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting pulled one back for Cameroon to raise hopes of a comeback. They almost did level the scores with three minutes left to play, but Mohammadou Idrissou saw his penalty saved by Roberto Junior Fernandez.

We may very well see a moment of history this evening if Miroslav Klose comes on and finds the back of the net. The 35-year-old is Germany's joint all-time top scorer with Gerd Muller on 68 goals and he will no doubt be looking to break that record before they jet off to Brazil. His scoring record at World Cups is fantastic and his 14 goals at the finals puts him one behind Ronaldo in the overall standings. He may have struggled with injuries for Lazio this season, but he should feature prominently for the national side in the coming weeks.

PREDICTION: Germany are almost back to full strength and the likes of Manuel Neur and Phillip Lahm should be fit for their Group G opener against Portugal. It will be tough for Cameroon to contain the attacking players at their opponents' disposal, but Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting and Samuel Eto'o are capable of causing some problems. I can only see a German victory this evening, with a 3-1 home win my prediction of the scoreline.

We have just heard the national anthems of both teams and the match is set to begin in just a few moments.

KICKOFF! We are underway at Borussia-Park!

CHANCE! Germany should be ahead with barely 40 seconds played. Boateng slides a ball through to Ozil, who looks a certainty to score, but somehow puts his shot just wide of the post. The Arsenal man really should have found the back of the net there.

CHANCE! It's all Germany at the moment and Reus shows great skill to win a corner on the left. The set piece is then played short and whipped into the box, where Mertesacker arrives to head the ball just over the bar.

The hosts are finding plenty of space in the midfield, with Cameroon barely getting a touch of the ball. The visitors are playing a very high line and the likes of Reus and Boateng are getting in behind down the flanks with ease.

Cameroon are starting to come into the game now and have seen more of the ball over the past few minutes. Eto'o is the first player to get a shot away for the visitors, but he flashes a low drive well wide of the post.

OFF THE POST! It's a wonderful piece of play from Germany as Muller flicks the ball over the top and into the path of Gotze. The Dortmund man gets it out of his feet, before firing in a strike from outside the box that Itandje gets a slight hand on before crashing back off the post.

The Germans are unlucky to see the flag go up as Ozil slides a ball into the path of Muller, who then touches it into the path of Reus. The Bayern man was deemed to be in an offside position by the referee, but the replays show it was a harsh call.

Germany are denied once again by the linesman as Reus latches onto a long ball over the top. He seemed to be onside there and surely Cameroon will be made to pay for their high line sooner rather than later in this match.

CHANCE! The visitors haven't played well so far, but they almost take the lead out of nothing. The ball is played into the box from out wide and the German defence fail to clear. It then drops kindly to Eto'o, who works himself a yard of space, before firing in a low strike that is well held by Weidenfeller.

YELLOW CARD! It may be a friendly this evening, but Enoh goes into the book for a poor foul on Kroos.

Song is lucky to not pick up his country's second card of the night, as he brings down Khedira with a late challenge from behind. The Real Madrid player has only recently come back from a long-term knee problem and will be desperate to avoid any unnecessarily fouls.

The German crowd are becoming slightly frustrated that their team have been unable to break the deadlock. They are still seeing most of the possession in the midfield, but their final ball has let them down so far.

YELLOW CARD! Song was fortunate not to pick up a booking just minutes ago, but he does receive up a yellow card following another poor tackle on Khedira.

There haven't been too many chances on goal in the past few minutes, with much of Germany's passes going astray. Kroos is trying to orchestrate his team's play, but his latest ball over the top is far too strong for Reus and ends up heading out for a goal kick.

CHANCE! Reus has continually been able to get in down the left hand side and he does well to pull the ball back across the box, before the visitors clear the danger. Moments later he is in again and tries his luck with a low drive from out wide, but it lacks the power to beat Itandje.

CHANCE! Germany start to pile on the pressure and Khedira almost finds the net when he connects with a cross in the box, but he doesn't make great contact with his header and the ball goes narrowly wide of the far post.

SAVE! The visitors almost take the lead in the final minutes of the half. Eto'o picks up the ball in the centre of midfield before driving forward. He then spots the run of Moukandjo and slips him into the box, but Weidenfeller is out quickly to block the shot.

CHANCE! Germany are looking shaky at the back and Cameroon come close as Matip is picked out unmarked in the box, before heading the ball straight at Weidenfeller.

YELLOW CARD! Boateng is the third player of the evening to pick up a booking, after bringing down Choupo-Moting.

HALF-TIME: Germany 0-0 Cameroon

There is no stoppage time played at the end of the first half, with both teams heading into the interval on level terms. Germany started strongly and it looked like they were going to run away with it, but the visitors ended the half confidently and will be pleased at how they have performed this evening.

The hosts have been frustrated in the attack this evening, where they are missing a genuine striker like Klose. Gotze is a fine player, but lacks the required physical threat that we know their leading scorer is capable of.

As for the visitors, they have grown into the game as the first half progressed. Eto'o has looked their most dangerous player and has given the defence some nervous moments. One problem that their manager Volker Finke will be worrying about, is how often the Germans have got in behind. They may not have been punished yet, but in the World Cup players like Neymar and Hernandez will not need a second invitation.

Only Brazil and Argentina are considered to have a better chance of winning the World Cup this summer by the bookies, and Low will be desperate for his team to improve in the next 45 minutes. He is yet to name his final squad for the tournament, with 23 players that he is taking due to be named by tomorrow.

Both teams are back out on the pitch and the second half should be starting shortly.

We are back underway!

SUBSTITUTION: Cameroon have made a change at the start of the half, with N'Guemo coming on for M'bia.

CHANCE! Germany almost start the second half with a bang, as Muller gets in behind down the right, before pulling the ball back to Reus. He then smashes in a strike that flashes across the goal and heads just wide of the far post.

The hosts are starting to combine more fluently inside the final third and they do well to work the ball out wide to Muller, who then whips a ball across the box. It was a teasing delivery, but none of his teammates had made a run and Cameroon are able to clear.

Germany are still well in control of the ball and are seeing all of the possession, but they are lacking a cutting edge in the final third of the pitch without a recognized striker.

SUBSTITUTION: Germany make their first change of the evening, with Schurrle coming on to replace Gotze.

SUBSTITUTION: Cameroon also bring on fresh legs, with Assou-Ekotto taking Bedimo's place.

GOAL! Germany 0-1 Cameroon (Samuel Eto'o)

We may have a surprise on the cards here, as Cameroon take the lead. Song and Eto'o combine on the edge of the box, before the captain fires in a strike that is pushed away by Weidenfeller. The ball is then played back into the box, where Eto'o manages to touch it into the far corner with the keeper left helpless.

The visitors look full of confidence now and they immediately burst forward and win a corner. From the resulting set piece, the ball finds its way to Choupo-Moting on the edge of the box, but his strike on the volley is blocked.

GOAL! Germany 1-1 Cameroon (Thomas Muller)

Cameroon's lead didn't last long, as the home side level the scores. The ball breaks kindly for Boateng on the right and he whips in a cross that is headed into the net by Muller at the near post.

In all of that excitement the Germans had made a substitution, with Podolski now on the pitch in place of Ozil.

GOAL! Germany 2-1 Cameroon (Andre Schurrle)

Germany show just why they are considered one of the front-runners for the World Cup, by turning this match on it's head. Podolksi is played in down the left and advances into the box, before squaring the ball across the middle for Schurrle to tap in from close range.

SUBSTITUTION: Borussia Monchengladbach player Kramer gets a huge reception from the home crowd as he comes on to replace Khedira.

The substitutions made by Low have made a big impact since arriving on the pitch, with Podolksi and Schurrle combining impressively for their second goal. There is a great strength in depth throughout the side, which is a key component of tournament football.

GOAL! Germany 2-2 Cameroon (Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting)

Just when it looked like Germany were going to go on and win this match, Cameroon draw level in stunning fashion. Choupo-Moting is picked out wide on the left, and he comes inside before firing a brilliant low strike from just outside the box into the far corner of the net.

CHANCE! Germany almost retake the lead just moments after the kick off. Muller is picked out with a long pass over the top, but his chipped effort sails just over the bar. This has been a fantastic second half to watch.

SUBSTITUTION: Nyom comes on for Cameroon in place of Djeugoue.

SUBSTITUTION: The Germans also make a change, with Howdes coming on for Durm.

Both teams are still pushing for a winner and there is no telling how this game will finish. Cameroon will probably be the happier of the two sides if the score stays the same and they will have given the likes of Brazil and Croatia plenty to think about.

CHANCE! Cameroon almost snatch the win in stoppage time as Enoch picks up the ball outside the box following a powerful run from Eto'o, before firing a strike just over the bar.

FULL-TIME: Germany 2-2 Cameroon

The final whistle is blown and the match has ended with both teams sharing a draw. Eto'o proved that he can still perform at the highest level with the first goal of the evening, before the Germans took the lead. It seemed like Low's men would hold on and claim the win, but Choupo-Moting's fine late strike will have given the African side a huge boost ahead of the World Cup.

That's all we've got time for here this evening. Please stay with us for all of the latest news and reaction from tonight's matches. Until next time, goodbye!
