Half-Time Report: Huddersfield Town, Blackburn Rovers level at the break

Huddersfield Town and Blackburn Rovers are level after 45 minutes of their Championship clash.

It is level between Huddersfield Town and Blackburn Rovers after 45 minutes of their Championship clash this afternoon.

The visitors started strongly and took the lead in the fourth minute, when Jordan Rhodes got on the end of a flicked header from Rudy Gestede before sliding the ball into the bottom corner past Alex Smithies.

Rhodes came close again soon after when he latched on to a loose ball on the edge of the area before firing in a strike that was hit straight at the keeper.

Blackburn continued to create the better of the chances and David Dunn was next to try his luck with a strike from range that was held by the keeper.

Midway through the half the home side equalised, when Adam Hammill cut inside from the left before curling an effort into the far corner past Paul Robinson.

There was a worrying moment for the visitors as Gestede received treatment for a head injury and had to leave the pitch with his neck in a brace.

Nahki Wells wasted a chance for the home side before half time when he was played through by Jonathan Hogg, before dragging an effort wide of the post.

There were nine minutes of stoppage time due to Gestede's injury, but neither side could find a second goal as the first half finished level.
