Chris Powell urges Ishmael Miller to earn himself a new deal at Huddersfield Town

Huddersfield Town manager Chris Powell urges striker Ishmael Miller to keep working hard in order to earn himself a new contract at the John Smith's Stadium.

Huddersfield Town manager Chris Powell has urged striker Ishmael Miller to play for his future and earn himself a new deal at the John Smith's Stadium.

The 28-year-old joined the Terriers on January's transfer deadline day, and is contracted to the club until the end of the season.

Powell told the Huddersfield Daily Examiner: "I think Ishmael has shown everyone that there is a player there. He has had some good moves in the past, and now he is trying to adapt to us.

"Ishmael is playing for his future, and it's up to him. He's a likeable guy who has fitted in well here. We are getting to know him and he is certainly putting in the effort.

"He has two goals already, and both were taken well, and I think he can make a real mark in the last seven games."

Powell has previously played for a host of clubs including Manchester City, West Bromwich Albion and Nottingham Forest.
