Nathan Delfouneso rescues a point for Blackburn Rovers

Blackburn Rovers hold Huddersfield Town to a 1-1 draw at the John Smith's Stadium.

Nahki Wells's opener was cancelled out by Nathan Delfouneso as Huddersfield Town's Championship clash with Blackburn Rovers ended 1-1 this afternoon.

Mark Hudson had his header hacked off the line after some good work from Sean Scannell early on.

Wells then put his side ahead when he fired home the rebound after David Raya had reacted quickly to save Ishmael Miller's effort.

Craig Conway prodded a chance to equalise narrowly wide, before Jordan Rhodes raced clear only to see his shot saved by Joe Murphy on the stroke of half time.

Rovers were level on 60 minutes when substitute Delfouneso volleyed home from Bengali-Fode Koita's knock down inside the Huddersfield box.

The hosts almost retook the lead 10 minutes later when Jacob Butterfield's effort was saved by Raya, with Scannell seeing his effort from the rebound cleared off the line.

Wells then headed narrowly over the top from Tom Smith's cross as the home side went in search of a late winner, but Blackburn held on for a point.
