David Wagner makes five changes to the Huddersfield Town starting XI ahead Saturday's Premier League home game against Cardiff City.

David Wagner has made five changes to the Huddersfield Town starting XI ahead of Saturday's Premier League game against Cardiff City.

The Terriers were thrashed 6-1 by Manchester City last weekend, prompting the manager to make a number of alterations.

Mathias Jorgensen, Aaron Mooy, Jonathan Hogg, Adama Diakhaby and Rajiv van La Parra come in, while Tommy Smith, Chris Lowe, Alex Pritchard, Jon Gorenc Stankovic and Abdelhamid Sabiri make way.

Diakhaby makes his first competitive start for the Yorkshire side as Van La Parra makes his seasonal debut.

Neil Warnock, meanwhile, has made just one change to his team from the 0-0 draw with Newcastle United.

Nathaniel Mendez-Laing is selected in place of Junior Hoilett, who is not included in the 18-man squad.

Huddersfield Town: Hamer; Hadergjonaj, Jorgensen, Schindler, Kongolo; Hogg, Billing; Mooy, Van La Parra, Diahkaby; Mounie
Subs: Lossl, Smith, Lowe, Mbenza, Depoitre, Pritchard, Stankovic

Cardiff City: Etheridge; Manga, Bamba, Morrison, Bennett; Ralls; Murphy, Arter, Camarasa, Mendez-Laing; Zohore
Subs: Smithies, Peltier, Paterson, Ward, Reid, Cunningham, Madine
