Nahki Wells has thanked his former club Bradford City for allowing him to complete his move to Championship side Huddersfield Town last week.
The 23-year-old moved to the John Smith's Stadium last week for a figure in the region of £1.3m having joined Bradford on a free transfer in June 2011.
"Bradford will always play a part in my heart. I like to hope that the Bradford fans look at the positives of it. They have made a large amount of money off nothing and I have got my opportunity," he told reporters at a press conference.
"They didn't stand in my way and I thank them for that because they could easily have stuck me in and made me play.
"But they saw I was very ambitious and I wanted this move and really deep in my heart said this was the right club to come to - somewhere I could improve as a player and learn. If you want to keep learning then you will get better."
Wells scored on his Huddersfield debut against Millwall at the weekend.
