Steve Bruce: 'We must handle the occasion'

Hull City boss Steve Bruce is adamant that his side cannot let the occasion get the better of them in their FA Cup semi-final with Sheffield United at Wembley.

Hull City boss Steve Bruce believes that his side cannot let the occasion get the better of them when they take on Sheffield United in their FA Cup semi-final clash.

The Tigers have reached the last four of the competition for just the second time in their history and will be looking to book their place in the final with a win over the League One side.

Bruce told the club's official website: "Certainly we've had to put the reins on the players in training and that's because they realise there's a big occasion coming up.

"These are the big occasions that you come into the game for and the rewards for winning a semi-final are fantastic. However, the only way you can enjoy it is if you win, otherwise it is a horrible place to be. We can't get lost in the occasion."

Hull face Nigel Clough's side at Wembley on Sunday.
