Steve Bruce backs Dame N'Doye to shine following impressive full debut

Hull City boss Steve Bruce hails the instant impact made by striker Dame N'Doye following his match-winning performance against Aston Villa last night.

Steve Bruce is hopeful that new signing Dame N'Doye can push on from his match-winning performance against Aston Villa in order to fire Hull City away from danger.

The 29-year-old was persuaded to make a switch to the KC Stadium from Lokomotiv Moscow on deadline day, despite seeing a big drop in his pay salary.

N'Doye created the Tigers' opening goal in last night's 2-0 victory against Villa before rounding off the scoring with a close-range bullet on his first start for the club, already proving good value for the £2.2m splashed out to land him earlier this month.

"All the hard work that went into [the transfer] was well worth it when you see him play like he did against Villa," Bruce is quoted as saying by BT Sport. "Not many players take a significant wage cut to come and play in England, but he wanted to do that,

"I can't speak highly enough of someone who gave up a huge amount of money to come and play here. We've all seen the figures and what the [broadcast rights] will be in 18 months, but he's somebody who's taken a huge pay cut to come here and fair play to him.

"He wanted to show his skills here and I thought it was a fantastic [full] debut. Let's hope it's the first of many."

Victory for Hull saw them climb above their opponents into 15th place in the Premier League table.
