Inter Milan boss Roberto Mancini has revealed that he will not stand in Samir Handanovic's way if the in-form goalkeeper wants to leave San Siro this summer.
Speculation is rife that Manchester United are preparing for life after reported Real Madrid target David de Gea and have earmarked the 30-year-old as his replacement.
Handanovic, whose contract expires next summer, impressed in Sunday's 2-1 win at Lazio, with Mancini admitting that he may be powerless to keep the Slovenian if it is Champions League football that he wants.
"I think he's one of the best goalkeepers in Europe, let's see what will happen in the coming weeks," he told Sky Sport Italia.
"I have read that he would like to play in the Champions League, we cannot guarantee that next season. I can understand that."
Inter sit three places and nine points off a Champions League spot with three games remaining.
