Felipe has revealed that he is looking to make an instant impact at Inter Milan, in the hope of extending his stay beyond the summer.
The Brazilian defender joined the Nerazzurri until the end of the season, only weeks after his contract with Parma was terminated due to a disputed over unpaid wages.
While Felipe believes that his spell with Inter represents the greatest challenge of his career, the 30-year-old has welcomed the chance to play for the club.
He told their official website: "This is a great opportunity for me. Inter is a big club, with a lot of history. I want to prove my worth and make the most of this opportunity. It's a big challenge that I welcome.
"This team have welcomed me with open arms and I didn't expect that. It has really helped me after what happened at Parma.
"They have made me feel a member of the team since day one. It has made me feel important."
Inter are currently ninth in the Serie A table.
