Xherdan Shaqiri: "I'm staying at Inter Milan"

Inter Milan ace Xherdan Shaqiri responds to speculation linking him with a move to English football, reiterating that he has no plans to leave the San Siro this summer.

Xherdan Shaqiri has rejected suggestions that he could be on his way to the Premier League this summer by claiming that he has no intention of leaving Inter Milan.

The Switzerland international struggled to truly settle at San Siro upon joining from Bayern Munich in January, which led to both Manchester United and Liverpool showing a reported interest.

However, Shaqiri is now ready to fight for his place in the Nerazzurri starting lineup to justify his £11m price tag in the coming season.

"Inter next season will be very competitive because of the high-level players who are coming in," he told fcinter.net. "I'm sure we can fight for the title. I'm staying at Inter."

Shaqiri made 20 appearances for Inter upon joining from Bayern in the winter transfer window.
