Charlton Athletic and Ipswich Town have headed into half time on level terms after neither side managed to break the deadlock in the first half at The Valley this afternoon.
The visitors came close early on when Stephen Hunt crossed the ball in for Paul Anderson, but his finish from the edge of the box was comfortably held by Nick Pope.

Charlton soon started to see more of the ball though, resulting in Igor Vetokele heading the ball forward for Callum Harriott, but his powerful finish did not beat the keeper.
The hosts continued to press, but when Morgan Fox had an effort saved, it allowed Ipswich to go on the counter-attack, resulting in Daryl Murphy coming close down the other end moments later.
Bartosz Bialkowski had to remain alert as half time approached, as Francis Coquelin tried to squeeze the ball in from a tight angle, but the Ipswich keeper made the save, before denying Chris Solly a couple of minutes later.
