Mario Balotelli in line for Italy recall?

Mario Balotelli could be recalled to the Italy squad after impressing national team manager Antonio Conte, according to a report.

Italy manager Antonio Conte is reportedly considering recalling Mario Balotelli to the national side.

The 25-year-old has impressed since his return to AC Milan on loan from Liverpool, and scored for the Rossoneri during their 3-2 victory over Udinese in midweek.

Balotelli has only been called up once by Conte since the former Juventus boss took charge of the Azzurri in August 2014, but he was forced to withdraw from the squad on that occasion through injury.

However, according to Football Italia, Conte was in attendance at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris for Milan's 1-0 defeat to Genoa this afternoon in order to watch Balotelli.

Balotelli has scored 13 goals in 33 appearances for his country.
